(Alright. Let's have a go at it.)

Jeya intentionally stopped in one of the market's corners. She had enough. For some reason, she felt something was off, but she simply couldn't explain why. The sudden appearance of foreign faces didn't help either. But she had manners to attend to anyways. If a fight sparked, she knew she'd be the first one to hop in.

"One magazine extension." She gestured at the vendor. She slid in a few coins below the glass surface, getting a black chest-like device in return. Nodding in appreciation, Jeya stepped down to the town square, where she set up the extension for her firearms. She eyeballed everyone who seemed suspicious.

As the two Irdenfolk continued to patrol, a massive cloaked figure slammed passed, sending Witnam to the ground. It muttered a few deep, modulated words to the man, before continuing to dredge a large box on wheels behind it. Several of the men who were looking about turned to the voice, talking amongst one another.

“You okay there, Levver?” Rackkerman helped Witnam back to his feet, as a shot rang out, along with the sound of metal clinking against something. A crumpled up bullet fell to the dirt next to the cloaked figure, a small hole in the cloth showing green armor.

It was at this moment that all hell broke loose. The figure flung off his cloak, revealing his bulky, technologically advanced armor, emblazoned in the regular white and green of the Emerald Legion. As it pulled a weapon from its side, a cacophony of explosions rang out, as the humans flung their cloth off as well, revealing their emblems of the Knights, as they began to attack, firing at the Legionnaire, while others began to mow down others who weren’t human, showing no mercy in their work.

“It’s the Knights!” Witnam shouted, pushing Devin behind a pile of metal crates, “And the Emerald Legion! How’d they get in?”

“Now’s not the time to ask that,” Devin said, readying his energy weapon, “Now’s the time to get them out of here!”

Witnam nodded, readying his pulse-repeater, shoving a battery into a port to power the weapon.

The Legionnaire held his weapon, a gun that looked like some sort of amplified shotgun, at ready. He fired it at what he assumed to be the leaders of the Knights, sending globs of molten metal onto some of Mordeci’s High-Guard with a mighty laughter. The high velocity bullets of the Knight Snipers merely bounced off of its heaviness. “We need fire support!” Shouted one of Beta Squad, as another was brutally stomped on by the Typhon Legionnaire.

In the distance, the sound of the wailing sirens of RHEA began to permeate the air.

Mordeci saw the cloaked figure just before the shooting started. He didn't think much of the large man, until he dropped his cloak and started shooting. then, he thought very much about the man. More accurately, he thought about how to kill this blockage in the machine. He ducked behind a stall as he drew his handguns, which were more like hand cannons. Firing .600 rounds, most people weren't even able to hold onto the gun without it flying from their hands. Luckily, his suit helped with the recoil and the kick, allowing him to wield not one, but two of the monsters.

He rose over the cart, leveling his handguns, and sighed. The Irdish were here too. There old countrymen that had banished his people from their rightful homes. The Legionary could wait- These humans, bowing to aliens, were worse. he pulled the trigger, his High Guards finding cover and firing on the Irdish as well. As he fixed his aim from the recoil, he fired his second shot, leveling his gun and firing a third before ducking behind cover.

Jeya tossed herself upwards, hanging on a window and pulling herself in. Luckily for her it was an empty bedroom which belonged to one of the merchants there. Reloading her revolver, she knelt, adjusting herself. Pointing at the large figure, she began firing. A miss. One in the leg. Miss. Another miss.

Her fourth bullet pierced a part of his armor, making him slightly more vulnerable. She knew who she was against, and frankly, she simply had the intention of helping out the ones she found righteous in this situation. Jeya knew who she was dealing with, and for the justice of the people, she had to do so.

She reloaded aiming again. A deadly bullseye into the head causes a dreaded shriek from the man, hopefully taking him down. But she didn't know what was his fate as a machine gun began spraying the window. Ducking below, she barely dodged the incoming rain of bullets. It made a few small holes in the concrete wall, as well as completely pierced everything behind her. If she hadn't crouched in time, she would be blown into pieces by the insane amount of projectiles flying her way.

Nervously standing up once more, Jeya brought down another target by firing a direct shot into their head. What she didn't notice though was the grenade that rolled near her foot. Looking below her, she saw the tiny piece of metal rolling near her. Without a thought, she rolled to the door, slamming it close behind her. A deafening explosion, followed by the door bursting outside, shards of wood stabbing her from behind. The walls mostly gone as well. As Jeya looked up, the corridor she was in was in the middle of a fire. The smoke covered anything 4 meters from her, almost blinding her completely. Still, she walked back to the room she jumped into, which now was in completely ruins. It was slipping outside, as furniture began dropping into the marketplace. She hanged on a metal beam, opening fire again.

The Typhonian Legionary stumbled back. In its chest, two massive dents were placed upon its heavily armored chest-piece, gifts from the Lord of the Knights. As for the bounty hunter, a momento in the form of a hole in the back of its left leg, revealing wiring, hydraulics, and other mechanics through its small hole. The alien inside cursed to itself, before a distinctive horn blared from its speakers. Within instants, slithering from their hiding places under several tables and covers, several serpentine creatures, with small, angular heads, and two long, insect-like arms placed slightly behind their heads, kept out, their bodies covered with segmented grey -and-green armor.

As the Knights turned their primary forces towards the two Irdish, the Legionary would roar his orders to the smaller snake-things, who rose their heads around 3 feet above the ground with around five feet of body behind them. The snakelike creatures nodded, and slipped down a distinct alleyway, it’s entrance too blocked up with crates and the like for others to follow. As the snakes left, the Typhon soldier turned his attention to Jeya, dropping his slag-gun to grab what could be considered a minaturized gattling gun fitted into the frame of a large rifle. Weapon in hand, the Legionnaire began to fire at the bounty hunter, making sure furniture did not fall upon it, as it would knock it off course.

“Keep down!” Witnam drug Rackkerman back behind their temporary fortifications, a pile of metal crates. Haphazardly, he fired his energy weapon over the boxes, sending balls of blue light at foes randomly, before reeling back as a sniper tried to fire at its exposed fuel rod, “We aren’t equipped to fight these guys, Devin! Just hold out and-“

“And wait for the machines to take my first shot? No! I will go on my own accords!” Devin Rackkerman declared, as he yanked his form from Levver’s grasp, rising above his cover and firing into the Knights, “For Irden! For the Empire, I fight!”

The bullets pierced everything that was left of the room. Gulping nervously, Jeya tried to dodge the incoming barrage by climbing back to the scorched corridor. On her way out of the blunder she was in she caught a two bullets to the leg and one to the shoulder. Jeya groaned as her body ached terribly. She threw herself to the corridor, sealing the entrance with one of the couches that innocently sat there.

Hiding behind it, she reloaded her revolver and treated her wounds carefully. Her bullets had some sort of impact on the strange creature, but it wasn't enough to bring it down. Not enough with the ammunition she had at hand, at least. More bullets flew by her head, sending an horrific chill down the bounty hunter's spine. She ran off, mere seconds before the couch was completely penetrated by another set of bullets. She kept sprinting through the burning hallway, trying to find her way out in the ashy maze she was trapped in.
